A Craving for Something Sweet

The other night I had a craving for something sweet.  I wandered the bakery area in Superstore for a while, but didn't find anything that was worth the calories I would be eating.  That's when I remembered a recipe from pinterest (just want to insert here how much I love pinterest.  But warning, it's extremely addictive).

The recipe was for a Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie.

In the Oven

After baking it and everything, I think any old chocolate chip cookie recipe would work for this (the recipe from the link above was delicious too, though).  I think I'll try my favorite recipe next time to see how it works.

Just out of the Oven

Top with a scoop of ice-cream

So gooey inside! Mmmmmm!

If you love cookie dough like I do, then cook this just until the top is golden brown.  When you go to take a spoonfull it's cooked on all the edges and gooey half-cooked dough and melted chocolate chips in the middle.

If it's only you and your hubby at home, then make the whole batch of dough and throw the rest in a ziploc bag and toss it in the freezer, so it's ready to go the next time you crave something sweet.

Be sure to eat it right out of the oven, warm and delicious, and have someone nearby to share it with, that's a lot of cookie!  Unless, of course, you want it all to yourself.

And that's how you solve a craving for something sweet.  Enjoy!
